History
Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust consisting of
Vijaya Hospital (VH), Vijaya Health Centre (VHC),
Vijaya Institute of Trauma & Orthopaedics (VITO)
and Vijaya Heart Foundation (VHF) is one of the
pioneering Private Institutions offering medical service to the people
of Chennai. Vijaya Hospital came into existence in 1972. Its steady growth
and increased demand for private healthcare led to the establishment of
Vijaya Health Centre (VHC) in 1987 with 25 inpatient
beds. VHC is situated amidst a vast garden with prolific greenery and
fresh air. Now Vijaya Health Centre is one of the largest healthcare providers
in South India with 300 beds and is equipped with latest equipment and
updated technologies. It has a comprehensive range of in-patient and out-patient
medical facilities and services.
Founder
Sri. B. Nagi Reddy, a recipient
of Dada Sahib Phalke award formed the trust in 1972 when he was the Managing
Director of Vijaya Vauhini Studio, one of the most reputed film studios
in the country. Since then it has burgeoned into its present state as
a trendsetter with an impressive track record in quality healthcare.

Situated in the heart of a bustling metropolis – Chennai, VHC is
set amidst lush greenery in Vadapalani where 20 acres of land has been
devoted to treating ailments in a peaceful and tranquil setup amid the
rush and bustle of daily life.
